There are a number of outstanding programs about the “First Year Experience” for freshmen available to college campuses. This is not one of them. “The Flipside of Freshman Year” is not FOR freshmen, it’s ABOUT freshmen.
This program takes a fieldtrip into freshman life from their point of view. Perfect for orientation leaders and professionals who regularly interact with freshmen, Tait guides participants into the unique world of the first time student. He covers a multitude of areas including:
- What do freshmen value and how are you meeting their needs?
- How to reach freshmen? Using campus and social media to mobilize them for your cause.
- How to speak “freshmen” and present your campus’ messages in ways they will respond.
Tait uses “freshmen” data he’s collected over the past 15 years to make this interactive program fun and engaging. In addition, he incorporates elements specific to your campus to illustrate how freshmen will likely react to being on your turf.
